Food,
clothing, and humanitarian assistance is provided for the
needy within the community. This is an ongoing program
supported through congregation food donations, and the Vicar's
discretionary fund. |

Church
facilities are available for AA meetings, and space is made
available for two Lincoln area precincts to vote on election
day. We serve the people of Lincoln spiritually at times of crisis
and those in need of a safe place to enter, rest, and pray. |

Church
membership supports Mission efforts in Haiti with food
health care and Christian education of needy children. |

Alpha
- A series of 10 video presentations by Nicky Gumbel, followed by
a period of open discussion is provided. The course covers the basic
beliefs of the Christian faith, including ... Who is Jesus?
Why did he die? How can I be sure of my faith? Why and
how should I read the Bible? Call for more information on
schedule and course content.
Sunday sermons based upon scheduled
Lectionary is presented with easy to understand dialog by a Vicar
who has personally visited most of the biblical sites, has the
unique ability to transport you to the heart of the story.
Tuesday and Wednesday well attended Bible Studies are presented in
much the same way. |

Dinners
of eight. Monthly, groups of eight church members join in
fellowship in the home of a host for dinner and lively
conversation. What better way to become better acquainted
with your brothers and sisters? Sign up is in the parish
hall.
Coffee Socials follow each of the services. Periodic events
such as Pot Luck dinners, Ice Cream Socials, High Tea, BBQ Picnic,
Luau with entertainment are all part of the strong spiritual
fellowship enjoyed by the members of St. James. |

St
James Church is an active member of the Lincoln Chamber of
commerce, community involvement, and community outreach assistance
with utilities, food, rent, and clothing.
The Red Shoe program in 2008 provided $50 gift certificates to 50
needy children to assist with back to school clothing.
Substantial assistance has been provided to local families and
individuals at major holidays. |

In
2007, St. James provided $1,000 scholarships to each of five
graduating Lincoln High School Students. |
