St. James Renewal Program

The St James Renewal Program is the outgrowth of a "Challenge Grant" to St. James contingent upon the adoption and implementation of a plan for membership growth and for a sustaining financial effort extending into 2011 so that a full time Vicar can be retained.  The "growth program" must include changes which will attract newcomers and especially families with children while retaining members and making the church a welcoming for older members without children at home.

The really good news is that St. James is rising to that challenge!  A "Communications Plan" was developed to focus on these efforts.  A three R's theme was incorporated for St. James Lincoln; Revive - Renew - Recommit.

The General Chairperson selected by the Mission Committee to keep the Renewal on track is Lorene Russi.  A Task Force of sub committees has been organized to deal with Communications, Membership, Outreach, Education, Fellowship, Worship Ministries, and Finance.

Our church has a Mission Statement, we now need a Vision Statement.  Lorene has agreed to provide the leadership to develop that.

We have a great deal of talent and core experience in our church.  The call is out to seek the Stewardship of time to this project.  If you feel that call, please contact Lorene (916-408-1928).  Obviously she can use all the help she can get.

This page of the St. James Web Site is dedicated to communicate to the membership of St. James and interested parties, the progress and activities of the various committees directly engaged in the Renewal Program.
