Mission

The congregation of St James Church is a caring Christian community serving Christ through worship, fellowship, outreach, and education.  The ministries of St James Church are committed to these attributes with the guidance of the Holy Spirit

To this end:

Food, clothing, and humanitarian assistance is provided for the  needy within the community.  This is an ongoing program supported through congregation food donations, and the Vicar's discretionary fund.

Church facilities are available for community meetings and events.

Church membership supports  Mission efforts in Haiti with food health care and Christian education of needy children.

Alpha - A series of 10 video presentations by Nicky Gumbel, followed by a period of open discussion is provided.  The course covers the basic beliefs of the Christian faith, including ... Who is Jesus?  Why did he die?  How can I be sure of my faith?  Why and how should I read the Bible?  Call for more information on schedule and course content.

Dinners of eight.  Monthly, groups of eight church members join in fellowship in the home of a host for dinner and lively conversation.  What better way to become better acquainted with your brothers and sisters?  Sign up is in the parish hall.

St James Church is an active member of the Lincoln Chamber of commerce.

In 2007, St. James provided $1,000 scholarships to each of five graduating Lincoln High School Students.
